Years ago, in a pub somewhere in Glasgow, Scotland, a group of misfits with a love for science fiction and fantasy decided to meet up. They began a book club where they could share ideas, occasionally argue about the ins and outs of a universe or invented technology, but most of all, discuss the meaning of everything. We wish to share this experience again, virtually and in person. So we will begin a new chapter of the Friends of Kilgore Trout book club, a title which came from the odd character created by Kurt Vonnegut so many years ago. So it would make sense to revisit the first appearance of Kilgore Trout with our first book club pick:
